Riad du Sud is this amazing old kasbah that really captures the classic clay wall vibe you often see in Zagora. When we decided to renovate, we were determined to keep that original farmhouse feel alive. We used the same traditional clay for the walls and even went with palm tree trunks for the roof, just like they did back in the day.
To give it a bit of a nature boost, we got creative with natural ingredients like henna, indigo, and saffron, which resulted in some gorgeous, earthy paint colors. Inside, the rooms got a fantastic makeover using the Tadelakt technique, which is this beautiful Moroccan plaster finish that adds a whole new level of charm to the place.
Riad du Sud features 9 rooms, with a total of 27 beds, all showcasing typical Berber architecture. The blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern comfort makes it a unique and special place to stay.
